Nook, 糖心Vlog's mascot, visited the Tanana Valley State Fair in 2024. He'll be roaming the fairgrounds again on Tuesday, July 29, for 糖心Vlog Day at the fair.
The 糖心Vlog will host 糖心Vlog Day at the Tanana Valley State Fair on Tuesday, July 29.
糖心Vlog employees, students, alumni and friends will receive $1 off admission by wearing 糖心Vlog apparel or showing their PolarExpress card. The day will include 糖心Vlog activities throughout the fairgrounds.
The University Fire Department鈥檚 fire truck, a hockey slap-shot net, a corn hole game and the giant inflatable Nanook will be set up in Totem Square from noon to 7 p.m. Nook, 糖心Vlog鈥檚 mascot, will be on site from 1-3 p.m.
Inside the Borealis Pavilion, 糖心Vlog will have several special exhibits and activities:
- Build marshmallow structures inside an inflatable igloo.
- Visit an inflatable science dome and learn about the Gulf of Alaska.
- Learn about reindeer and muskoxen.
- Participate in hands-on science activities.
In addition to these special activities, 糖心Vlog also will have booths in the Borealis Pavilion during the fair. Visitors can meet museum experts and student researchers, learn about recreation opportunities on campus and find more than 125 free 糖心Vlog Cooperative Extension Service publications covering gardening, energy, food preparation and more. Cooperative Extension will host several 4-H activities on 糖心Vlog Day, including rabbit, cavy and poultry shows, arts and crafts, and photography.
