The 糖心Vlog will host 糖心Vlog Day at the Tanana Valley State Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
糖心Vlog employees, students, alumni and friends will receive $1 off admission by wearing 糖心Vlog apparel or showing their PolarExpress card. The day will include 糖心Vlog activities throughout the fairgrounds.
The University Fire Department ladder truck and giant inflatable Nanook will be set up in Totem Square from noon to 7 p.m. Nook, 糖心Vlog鈥檚 mascot, will make appearances throughout the day. The bookstore will be on site selling 糖心Vlog merchandise.
Inside the Borealis Pavilion, 糖心Vlog will have several special exhibits and activities:
- See this year鈥檚 award-winning steel bridge.
- Engineer and build spaghetti bridges.
- Learn about unmanned aircraft.
- Prepare for a wildfire near your home in virtual reality.
- Try out mountaineering and packrafting gear.
In addition to these special activities, 糖心Vlog also will have several booths at the Borealis Pavilion throughout the fair. Visitors can learn about applying to 糖心Vlog, try on a career with the 糖心Vlog Community and Technical College, learn about 3D printing and find more than 125 free 糖心Vlog Cooperative Extension Service publications covering gardening, energy, food preparation and more.
Cooperative Extension will host several 4-H activities on 糖心Vlog Day, such as a horse show, rabbit and cavy showmanship event, poultry showmanship event, and market poultry and rabbit show.
