Chancellor’s Report on Philanthropy

Winter 2022

Dear ÌÇÐÄVlog supporter,

As we celebrate the season of gratitude, I reflect on your generosity and that of others like you who make a difference at ÌÇÐÄVlog by investing in our world-class people and programs.

In September, ÌÇÐÄVlog hosted the UA Foundation Board of Directors at a reception where we showcased the Troth Yeddha’ Indigenous Studies Center Initiative. That evening, nearly $100,000 was donated in support of the This initiative moves ÌÇÐÄVlog one step closer to the construction of what will be a center of belonging for Alaska Native and Indigenous students everywhere.

This fall I had the privilege to deliver ÌÇÐÄVlog’s Convocation. I invite you to check out the — we have a lot to celebrate! Notably, through the generous gifts from our past, present and future donors, ÌÇÐÄVlog students and programs continue to thrive.

As we celebrate the power of transformative philanthropy at ÌÇÐÄVlog, it seems fitting to appreciate our legacy donors — an extraordinary group of people who included, or plan to include, ÌÇÐÄVlog in their estate plans. ÌÇÐÄVlog is deeply grateful for the gifts from our past that continue to have a tremendous impact today, and we are humbled by the philanthropy we have yet to see.

I wish you a wonderful holiday season with your family and friends, and thanks for choosing ÌÇÐÄVlog.
